May 2023, Shrimp Export Infographic, Khulna

In the month of May 2023, total 95 containers have been shipped out from the Khulna Zone. Out of the total, 5 containers were Soft Shell Crab and rest are mostly Black Tiger shrimp and others. For the month of May 2023, Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) set the target of USD 44.14 million to achieve USD 500 million of FY22-23, though total USD 16.6 million has been earned in the month of May. It was USD 21.96 million in the same period of the last FY21-22. Let see, what we have in the plate for the month of May. Shrimp types & export volume Total Twelve hundred and fifteen (1215) metric tons of shrimp has been exported from the Khulna zone in May 2023. Black Tiger shrimp (P. Monodon) was 896 MT, Freshwater shrimp (M. Rosenbergii) was 150 MT, Harina shrimp (Metapenaeus monoceros) 169 MT and Chaka shrimp (Penaeus Indicus) 0 MT, Vannamei (P. While in May 2023, it’s 896 MT. Other regular importers like Belgium, France Greece, Portugal are also in the list for the month of May.
