June 2023, Shrimp Export Infographic, Khulna

June, the last month of the fiscal year 2022-2023 has total 88 shrimp container exported from the Khulna region. In FY 2021-22, according to the Khulna Fish Inspection and Quality Control (KFIQC) office, this region exported 24,104 tons of Bagda shrimp (P. Monodon) and Galda shrimp (M. Rosenbergii), valued at US $30,71,27,717.Considering the previous year exports trend, Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) of Bangladesh had set US $500 million export target for the frozen shrimp alone in FY 22-23. However, in FY2022-23, the export income declined by US $8,78,33,102 as only 19,904 tons of shrimp, worth $21,92,94,615, were exported from the region.As a result of the dip in the export, the earnings of FY22-23 is lagging behind 39% from the EBP’s target and it has dropped 26.27% from the FY21-22.Now, let see the detail fact and figures for the month of June export from the the Khulna zone. Shrimp types & export volume Total eleven hundred and ninety four (1194) metric tons of shrimp has been exported from the Khulna zone in June 2023. Black Tiger shrimp (P. Monodon) was 1029 MT, Freshwater shrimp (M. Rosenbergii) was 95 MT, Harina shrimp (Metapenaeus monoceros) 70 MT and Chaka shrimp (Penaeus Indicus) 0 MT, Vannamei (P. There are other countries who made it to the list.
