July, the first month of fiscal year 2023-2024 and total 72 shrimp consignment took place from the Khulna zone. For the ongoing fiscal year, the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) of Bangladesh has set a target of achieving $328 million in earnings from the export of frozen shrimp.
It is noteworthy that in the previous fiscal year, the set target was $500 million for frozen shrimp export earnings, but the actual earnings amounted to $300.38 million. This discrepancy represents a 39% shortfall from the EPB’s target and a substantial decrease of 26.27% compared to the fiscal year 2021-2022.
